# My plan

In Allocate, a written plan listing your goals in order, the monthly amount each one gets, and the date each one lands.

My plan is the document at the center of Allocate. It is written in sentences rather than shown as a chart: the goals you have, in the order they get funded, with the monthly amount going to each and the date each one is expected to land. It reads something like: first, the emergency fund reaches $18,000 by next March at $900 a month; then the down payment reaches $60,000 by the spring after that at $1,600 a month; alongside those, the Italy trip is funded by the February vest.

The order matters because it is how Allocate resolves conflicts. When a month is tight, goals higher in the list are funded first and lower ones flex. You can drag a goal up or down and the landing dates recalculate. You can change a monthly amount and see the landing date move, or set a landing date and see the monthly amount move.

The plan is the source for everything else. Safe to spend subtracts the plan's contributions. Goal fit checks the plan month by month. The morning brief reports on the plan's progress. Allo-Bot proposes edits to the plan and waits for approval.

A plan is meant to be revised. A raise, a new grant, a rent increase, or a change of mind all go into the plan and the rest adjusts. The written form makes the trade-offs visible: moving the car goal ahead of the down payment is a decision you can read back.

The common mistake it prevents is having six goals and no order, so that all of them get a little and none of them lands.
