Can I afford to put $400 more a month into my 401k?

Allo-Bot

Yeah, you can. Once your bills and goals are covered you've got $1,240 left this month. Put $400 more into the 401k and that's $840 — still plenty. The nice part: you'd max it out by November instead of leaving around $4,800 on the table. Want me to set that up?

Illustrative numbers. Yours come from your own accounts.

Not a chatbot bolted on. The same numbers, in plain words.

Allo-Bot sits inside your plan, not beside it. Everything it says is read from your accounts, and everything it suggests goes through you.

It reads what you read

Every account, every bill, your whole plan.

Balances, transactions, goals, the paycheck timing — the same live numbers on every page of Allocate. No pasting in statements.

It talks like a person

Plain words. Real figures. No lecture.

Answers come with the number that matters, and never with a verdict about how you're doing. You already know that part.

It proposes, you approve

Every change waits for a yes.

Allo-Bot stages what it suggests and shows what moves before anything does. Approve it, or don't. Anything approved can be undone.

On every page

It already knows what you're looking at.

Open Allo-Bot from any page and it starts from that page's numbers. The questions people actually ask:

Budget

"Why is this month tight?"

Two things landed together: the car insurance renewal ($612, twice a year) and a grocery week about $140 over your usual. Next month has neither.

Goals

"Can I hit the house fund by June?"

At $650 a month you land in August. $820 gets you June, and there's room for that in March's and April's safe to spend. Want me to stage the bump for those two months?

Investments

"How much of this did I put in, and how much did it make?"

Since January you added $9,600; the market added $2,150 on top. About a fifth of the growth is growth.

Today

"What needs a yes today?"

One thing: the electric bill is $38 higher than the plan expected. Approve it as a one-off, or I can raise the line going forward.

Say it, don't fill it in

Plans change. Tell it, in a sentence.

A concert, a skipped contribution, a bonus that landed early — type it the way you'd say it. Allo-Bot turns it into a dated change to your plan, staged for your approval, and every page updates once you say yes.

  • "Concert Thursday, $190"Thu · one-off $190
  • "I can't do the $712 this month"skip Sept · resume Oct
  • "Bonus came in, $6,000 after tax"route by your rules
  • "What if I lost my job in March?"scenario · 14 months runway

A message is one thing you type. The answer, and any change it stages, come with it. The morning brief, safe to spend and every page don't count. Need more? Packs from $5, and they never expire.

Fair questions

Before you trust it with anything.

What it can see, what it can do, and what it can't.

What can Allo-Bot see?

The accounts you've connected through Plaid — balances and transactions — plus the plan, goals and budget you've built in Allocate. That's it. It can't see accounts you haven't connected, and it never holds or moves money.

Can it change things on its own?

No. Every suggestion is staged: you see exactly what would move before anything does, and it happens only when you approve. Anything you approve can be undone.

Is this financial advice?

It explains your own numbers and shows you the effect of a change before you make it. It doesn't pick investments or tell you what to do with your life — those decisions stay yours, and for the big ones a human professional is still the right call.

What counts as a message?

One thing you type. The answer, any follow-up it needs, and any change it stages come with it. The morning brief, safe to spend and every page in the app are not messages — those are just the app.

Does it remember?

Yes. Conversations stay with your account, and the plan it helps you build is a living document it reads every time. You can delete conversations, and deleting your account removes all of it.

Which AI is it, and where does my data go?

Allo-Bot runs on Claude, through AWS, inside Allocate's own account. Your data isn't sold, shared, or used to train anything.
